Núñez Noriega reported that this cruise has a capacity for 500 passengers, in addition to the more than 200 crew members of the same cruise company “Cruise and Maritime Voyages”, so a great boost and important spill is expected to the tourist sector of Puerto Peñasco and from Guaymas, in Sonora.

“It will be a very interesting tour that will take the Astoria cruise: it leaves from Puerto Peñasco, with itinerary in Topolobampo, Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Loreto, Santa Rosalía, returns to Guaymas and then ends in Puerto Peñasco again, by which is a great opportunity for ports to offer their products to tourists, ”he explained.

The coordinator of the Cofetur, informed that the preparations in Guaymas and Puerto Peñasco were intense, since the Sonora Program with Actitur was trained to provide service providers to best serve visitors who will know the Sonoran destinations.

“We were working closely with the Convention and Visitor Offices of both municipalities, with service providers, hoteliers and municipalities to provide the best service to cruise passengers, we want them to know our treasures, but also encourage them to return again to Sonora, ”he said.

The state official reiterated the commitment to continue promoting and working on promotional strategies and activities whose main objective is to attract domestic and foreign tourists to Sonora.
