A man standing in line at a bank branch is held at gunpoint and robbed by armed individuals.

On Tuesday morning, unknown individuals, well-armed and riding a motorcycle, robbed a man who was standing in line at the Bancomer branch located on the main road one, south of the city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, to snatch cash from him and flee.

The incident occurred this Tuesday morning when the victim was in line waiting for the bank branch to open. The thieves went straight to him, pointed a gun at him, and took his money.

People present at the scene called the police for help, who implemented a search to find the suspects. The police department indicated that the victim did not want to file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office, suggesting that it must have been someone he knew who committed the robbery, as they knew he was carrying money.

Finally, as of this Tuesday morning, the amount stolen is unknown, while the assailants, as is customary, fled on the same motorcycle. Various security forces and the army arrived at the scene of the robbery.
