A suspected criminal was arrested and three others managed to escape, on Sunday afternoon in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, after they entered a private home and injured a dog.
According to the neighbors of the place, the events occurred when they heard the barking of the pet that was being injured, so they immediately organized and went to the house where the owners were not present, later they tried to arrest the four men but only managed to capture one of them.
The man arrested as a punishment was “tagged” by the same residents and then handed over to the authorities, who will be investigated in the next few hours where his legal situation will be determined, while the other three people are being investigated and identified.
Meanwhile, the neighbors warned that any suspicious person seen passing by at night or during the day in the area will be arrested and punished.
They also asked the authorities to increase patrols to prevent the increase in crime in the area, where some people also shoot themselves with firearms.
