A woman identified as Monica “N” was beaten to death, allegedly by her partner, during the early hours of this Tuesday in the Fovissste III Subdivision located west of Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas.
According to the first data of the investigation, the alleged perpetrator turned off the security cameras around 2 in the morning and then committed the crime. Some of the neighbors said they heard screams coming from the house, however, no one intervened and it was not until dawn that they approached the house where they found the woman with bruises all over her body.
Miguel Angel “N” alleged perpetrator and who was Monica “N’s” partner, also worked as her assistant in the makeup salon that she owned and who apparently fled in the victim’s own vehicle.

Sources close to the family indicated that Miguel and Monica had been in a relationship for about seven years, however, after the femicide, a 10-year-old boy and a two-year-old girl were orphaned.
It was around 9 in the morning that elements of the State and Municipal Police, as well as personnel from Forensic Services, arrived at the scene of the events, who cordoned off the area to preserve the crime scene, while the body was transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) where the legal autopsy will be carried out, to determine the cause of death and to obtain more evidence.
The authorities reported that the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) through the Prosecutor’s Office Against Femicide, opened an investigation file against whoever is responsible for the death of Monica “N”.
Meanwhile, the 50+1 Collective stated that with Monica’s femicide there are now 33 cases in Chiapas, which is why November has been classified as the most tragic month of the year for women in Chiapas, since during the first 19 days of the month there have been four femicides in the state.
“Today Tuxtla Gutierrez was shaken again by another femicide. Monica leaves two minors orphaned. She earned her living as a makeup artist. The person responsible for this tragedy is allegedly her partner who apparently fled in Monica’s own vehicle,” it stated in a statement.
