San Cristóbal de Las Casas launches historic tourism campaign: “It has it all… you’re the only one missing.”

In an emotional event led by Mayor Fabiola Ricci Diestel, the tourism promotion campaign “San Cristóbal de Las Casas has it all… It’s just you missing!” was presented. This unprecedented strategy seeks to promote the municipality nationally and internationally. With a message filled with hope, identity, and a vision for the future, the mayor emphasized that this campaign is not just a video or a brand, but a call to show the world the spirit, history, and richness of the city.

During her speech, the mayor emphasized that San Cristóbal is renewing itself with strength and dignity after difficult times and is now presenting itself as a vibrant, safe, and hospitable destination. The strategy revolves around five fundamental pillars:

Tourism infrastructure

Nightlife and international coexistence

Ecotourism with flora and fauna

Living culture and gastronomy

History and architecture of the city

All of this is designed to consolidate San Cristóbal as a unique and multisensory destination.

The mayor expressed her gratitude for the support of the City Council, the City Council team, the tourism, cultural, and commercial sectors, as well as the civil society that actively participated in the development of this collective project. For the first time, public municipal resources were allocated for the development of a campaign of this magnitude, marking a milestone in the institutional promotion of San Cristóbal.

Ricci Diestel reaffirmed that this campaign is a declaration of love for San Cristóbal and an invitation to the world to discover what this magical land represents.

“San Cristóbal is not just a tourist destination; it is an experience lived with the heart,” she stated.

Representatives from various business sectors, the media, and members of civil society interested in promoting San Cristóbal de Las Casas attended the presentation.
