The Municipal Transit Department, in coordination with Municipal Public Services and the Municipal Police Department, conducted the “Removal of Objects from Public Roads” operation to reclaim public spaces, strengthen traffic order, and improve mobility in various parts of the city.
During the operation, patrols were carried out, and objects obstructing public roads were removed. As a result of these actions, two motorcycles were impounded at the Municipal Police and Transit Department facilities. Additionally, five license plate violations were issued for various infractions, for a total of seven administrative sanctions.
The San Cristóbal de Las Casas City Council, headed by Mayor Fabiola Ricci Diestel, reiterates that these types of operations will continue to be carried out in a coordinated manner to ensure compliance with traffic regulations, maintain order on public roads, and provide greater safety and mobility for citizens.
