An earthquake of preliminary magnitude 5.5 was registered tonight on the coast of Mexico, according to the report of the United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English).
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 107.4 kilometers north-east of El Zapotal, in Chiapas, and 125.5 kilometers north-east of Mapastepec, also Chiapas. The depth of the earthquake was 125 kilometers.
No damages have been reported
