San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas.- On the occasion of Father’s Day, this Saturday those who make up “La Mercadita” will hold the Chiapaneco Cheese and Artisanal Wines Fair, where there will be a tasting and at the same time they will promote the products made by women in the Region.
In this regard, Lucy Bautista said that “La Mercadita” is a space that is located on Avenida de la Juventud without number, near La Albarrada in the María Auxiliadora neighborhood, where some 50 producers participate every Saturday.
This Saturday will be especially to pamper the parents to go to a tasting of artisan cheeses and wines, where there will be a great diversity of dishes and a great diversity of Chiapas cheeses from different regions, there will be cheeses from the Costa Mapatepec, Villa Corzo, Casa Sevilla, Teopisca, among others.
He pointed out that they are producers who come to offer a great diversity of fresh and artisan products, every Saturday.
Lucy Bautista said that they will soon be one year old in August, the anniversary of La Mercadita is coming, that is why we are doing this type of events so that they know us and visit us and consume local products, they are accessible prices and in the space products of very good quality, so we invite everyone to eat locally and strengthen the economy of local producers.
For her part, Silvia Solís said that they are only installed on Saturdays and that they are also promoting culture, since every weekend they have a musical group, and as for wine tasting, she commented that there are three producers who are from San Cristóbal and take advantage of the region’s fruit such as blackberry, peach, and other fruits such as apple, to prepare artisanal wines.
