San Cristóbal de las Casas.- To commemorate International Women’s Day, they announce a march for next Wednesday, March 8 in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, which will depart from the southern zone to the center of the city, they ask the citizens in General join this mobilization.
Prior to International Women’s Day, collectives and feminists in the region, invite in a letter to march next Wednesday, March 8, starting at 4:00 p.m., to protest against the femicides that have been registered in Mexico, Chiapas and San Cristóbal de Las Casas, and that to date some have gone unpunished.
The organizers of this mobilization make a room for all women who report family, sexual, physical and psychological abuse that women have suffered by their husbands, at work, go to the law school in San Cristóbal on Monday March 6 from 3:30 in the afternoon where an online or face-to-face university complaints mailbox will be installed.
As indicated in the invitation, only women may participate in this march, and that this March 8 is not a party but a protest to demand an end to femicides and enough violations of Human Rights, labor rights, among other demands.
