Armed group throws explosives at the Chiapas state police


The attack with an explosive device occurred on Tuesday night and a homemade object was used.

A criminal group launched an explosive device at the facilities of the Secretariat for Security and Citizen Participation (SSyPC) in sector V in Chiapas, causing only material damage.

The events were recorded at 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, when unidentified persons threw a homemade explosive object in the courtyard of the police station.

State police officers were resting at the site, while administrative personnel had already withdrawn from the site at the time of the explosion.

No casualties were reported, unofficial sources reported. The place was cordoned off by members of the National Guard (GN), the Mexican Army and the Mexican Navy.
