The event started at 7 in the morning this Sunday from a point near the Teatro de la ciudad Hermanos Domínguez, where the participants left to tour the streets of the south and west of the city. Thirty minutes later, the marathoners reached the finish line without setbacks.

Rosa Penagos, one of the organizers of the event, highlighted that this marathon was held two days after International Women’s Day as part of the 3rd. Edition of the 5 km Athletic Race. She expressed satisfaction that the event went smoothly and thanked the active participation of all women.

The first three participants to cross the finish line were awarded medals and other items donated by women entrepreneurs from the region. Penagos encouraged all women to participate in sports events, highlighting that sport is a fundamental part of life and that they will have the opportunity to compete in future events organized both individually and business or institutional throughout this year 2024.
