The Farrera Half Marathon in Chiapas 2024 was presented with great expectation in San Cristóbal de Las Casas. The great “runner” community of this Magical Town has already marked on its agenda Sunday, September 15, when at 6 a.m. sharp the official start will be given for the athletic event that will take place in the state capital for the third consecutive year.
The official announcement in Coletas lands was made at the facilities of Vips San Cristóbal, in the presence of the host and manager of this branch, Fabián Natarén, as well as Karla Gómez, representative of the Grupo Farrera Car Agencies Division, and Rey López Muñoz on behalf of the organizing committee.
Fabián Natarén opened the event highlighting Grupo Farrera’s commitment to society and the running community for this particular event, guaranteeing that it will undoubtedly be a great success again.
For her part, Karla Gómez joined in the good wishes that the Farrera Half Marathon will be a great experience for the “runners” of Chiapas, and especially those who attend from San Cristóbal de Las Casas, who will be encouraged by all the staff of the different automotive agencies that are on the route. “We invite everyone to register and join us on September 15,” she said.
To announce the details of the Farrera Half Marathon 2024, Rey López took the floor, who reported that the start will be at 6 in the morning in the central park of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, both for 10 and 21 kilometers, in the free, master, veteran and people with different abilities categories in both branches, distributing a purse of 77 thousand pesos.
“We have increased the number of competitors every year and fortunately there has been a very good response,” said López Muñoz, who assured that this is a well-organized and high-level event, as the presence of athletes from other states and international athletes is also expected.
Likewise, he indicated that tickets are already on sale, at a cost of 390 pesos, with the right to a runner’s kit that includes a commemorative shirt, chip, competitor number, hydration supplies, medical services, road safety, cloakroom service, medal and access to the recovery area. The registration point for runners from this city and the Altos area is located at Vips San Cristóbal de Las Casas (México 60, Fátima neighborhood).
In Tuxtla Gutiérrez, they can go to Vips Oriente and Vips Poniente, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and to the Caña Hueca park (tartan track), from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are also available at Vips Tapachula, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Foreign competitors can register through the website www.asdeporte.com.
He stressed that the Farrera Half Marathon in Chiapas 2024 will once again be for a cause, which is why there are special sales points in the Mexican Red Cross delegations in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Comitán de Domínguez, San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Ocozocoautla and Villaflores. A percentage of the money raised at these facilities will go to the state headquarters of this organization.
Finally, he mentioned that the delivery of kits will take place on Saturday, September 14, at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Tuxtla, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
