Federal Tourism Secretary Josefina Rodríguez Zamora celebrated the tourism promotion campaign “San Cristóbal de Las Casas Has It All… Just Missing You!”, officially launched this Monday afternoon at the Daniel Zebadúa Theater. Accompanied by state and municipal authorities, the official recognized the effort to showcase the municipality’s cultural, historical, and natural wealth through a comprehensive campaign.
During her speech, Rodríguez Zamora emphasized that this initiative reflects the federal government’s vision of tourism as a driver of social well-being and underscored that San Cristóbal de Las Casas is an example of how to combine community tourism with high-quality experiences. “It is a place full of magic, color, and history. I congratulate its people and those who have proudly captured this in this campaign.”
For her part, Mayor Fabiola Ricci Diestel expressed her gratitude for the support of the federal government and the state, noting that this campaign marks a turning point in the municipality’s tourism promotion. She stated that the goal is to position San Cristóbal nationally and internationally, with actions that promote economic development without losing its cultural identity.
The Secretary of Tourism of Chiapas, María Eugenia Culebro Pérez, affirmed that tourism is key to transforming lives and strengthening local economies. “This joint effort represents a new era for tourism in Chiapas, and demonstrates that when we work as a team, we can show the world how extraordinary our state is.”
The event was attended by authorities from all three levels of government, representatives of the tourism sector, journalists, business leaders, artisans, and citizens. The campaign will be disseminated on official platforms and digital media, reinforcing the message that San Cristóbal has it all… all that’s missing is you!
