A group of 30 dangerous inmates from the state of Sinaloa arrived in Chiapas to be held at the Federal Social Readaptation Center No. 15 in the municipality of Villa Comaltitlán, according to security sources.

Although the sources did not provide details about the identities of the persons deprived of liberty (PPL), they indicated that they are being prosecuted for drug trafficking and organized crime, and are alleged members of the Sinaloa Cartel.

The inmates were transported by air in a National Guard Boeing 727 aircraft with registration XC-NPF, and landed Wednesday afternoon at Tapachula International Airport, according to federal reports.

Subsequently, the sources consulted indicated, they were taken by land under heavy police presence to the penitentiary center located approximately 65 kilometers away.

During the journey, they were guarded by members of the decentralized administrative body for prevention and social rehabilitation of the Federal Secretariat of Public Security.

The GN aircraft initially took off from Los Mochis Airport in Sinaloa and made stops in Veracruz and Oaxaca, where it also dropped off groups of inmates, although the sources did not specify the total number of prisoners transported at those locations.
