The General Council of the Chiapas State Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute (IEPC) issued registration certificates this Friday to three new state political parties that will seek to compete in the 2027 midterm elections.
The electoral body granted registration certificates to the new political parties: Movimiento de Esperanza de Chiapas (Movement of Hope of Chiapas), Partido Conciencia Humana (Human Conscience Party), and Fuerza Chiapaneca (Chiapas Force).
These political parties emerged from the citizen organizations Movimiento de Esperanza y Humanismo de Chiapas A.C. (Movement of Hope and Humanism of Chiapas), Movimiento Humanista de Chiapas A.C. (Humanist Movement of Chiapas), and Fuerza Chiapaneca 4T A.C. (Chiapas Force 4T).
Council President Marina Martha López Santiago stated that this formal ceremony was the conclusion of a legal, technical, and administrative procedure stipulated by electoral regulations.

This also represents a very important development: the expansion of avenues for political participation, allowing the community to express itself and participate in democratic processes.
The electoral official stated that the creation of new political forces should not be understood merely as the emergence of new party organizations, but rather as a legitimate expression of the right to political association and citizen participation in public affairs.
Those who have received this certificate, she affirmed, assume an enormous responsibility before the community because obtaining registration is a right that entails legal, ethical, and democratic obligations.
The corresponding certificates were received by Rocío del Carmen Farrera Ruíz, representing the Chiapas Movement of Hope Party; Manuel de Jesús Vázquez Guzmán, representing the Human Conscience Party; and Mauricio Eduardo Morales Balcázar, representing the Chiapas Force Party.
Last Thursday, in an extraordinary session, the General Council of the IEPC (State Electoral Institute of Chiapas) approved the registration applications of three new state political parties.
Councilor Gloria Esther Mendoza Ledesma, president of the Permanent Commission on Political Associations, explained that the new political parties met the requirements stipulated by federal and state laws.
These requirements included the submission of their basic documents, bylaws, and declaration of principles; holding the required district or municipal assemblies; obtaining the necessary memberships; submitting monthly financial reports; and complying with all requests made by the electoral authority.
The registration of the new state political parties will take effect on July 1st, at which time the General Council will issue the agreement regarding the redistribution of the corresponding public funding.
