With the deep devotion that defines their faith, hundreds of evangelical Christians began an unprecedented journey in the early hours of August 3. Departing from the Central Park of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, the capital of the southern Mexican state of Chiapas, a caravan of 120 vehicles, three buses, and one motorcycle set out at 4:00 a.m. with a mission to bring the Gospel throughout Mexico.
Approximately 200 participants, all from Chiapas, are taking part in the mission, responding to what they believe is a calling to share the message of salvation in all 32 states of Mexico. The trip marks the official launch of “Mexico, Land of Blessing,” a nationwide evangelism campaign designed to reach communities across the country.
How the Vision Began
Pastor Josué Pérez Pardo, leader of the Jesús es el Camino Church in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, is the founder and visionary behind the initiative.
He explained that during the final months of 2025, he became deeply troubled by the negative news affecting the country, believing it overshadowed God’s intended purpose for Mexico.
That concern grew stronger at the beginning of 2026 until one phrase remained firmly in his heart:
“Mexico is no longer a land of blood, but a land of blessing in a time of mercy.”
Although he initially felt overwhelmed by the magnitude of organizing a nationwide outreach, he presented the vision to his congregation on March 22.
According to Pérez Pardo, he reminded the church that they were like a sailing ship:
“For the 45 years our congregation has existed, all we need to do is raise our sails in willingness and allow the wind of the Holy Spirit to direct us toward God’s purposes.”
He said the vision was confirmed later that same day when a guest preacher from Chicomuselo shared an unexpected message.
The preacher described seeing Pastor Pérez Pardo “as large as a tree,” dressed in white, with his arms outstretched and the entire nation of Mexico resting between them.
According to the preacher, God said:
“Tell my servant Josué that I have entrusted him with the nation of Mexico. Preach in season and out of season.”
Pérez Pardo said the experience convinced him that the project was not optional.
National Reach
What began with 16 pastors has grown into a nationwide movement involving more than 1,400 pastors and approximately 6,500 trained evangelists, surpassing the original goal of 3,200 volunteers.
The campaign’s objective is to visit 30,000 homes in each state.
Across all 32 states, organizers hope to reach approximately one million families within 10 days, from August 3 through August 14.
The outreach will continue throughout the remainder of the year with additional prayer gatherings and evangelistic activities.
Teams will travel through major cities, small towns, and rural communities, distributing Bibles and Christian literature while sharing a message of hope, reconciliation, and peace.
Participation Across Mexico
One of the states that has responded most enthusiastically is Hidalgo, where local pastors have committed to reaching all 84 municipalities.
Pastor Pérez Pardo said local church leaders immediately embraced the vision and began organizing volunteers and logistics for the campaign.
The initiative has also received support from Christian leaders such as Fran Solís and David Castillo, who have coordinated prayer meetings and evangelistic events throughout the country.
The Independent Pentecostal Christian Church (ICIPAR) has officially endorsed the project, contributing not only evangelistic events but also organized prayer efforts for government authorities and Mexican society.
Resources and Preparation
Although financing was initially considered the greatest challenge, organizers say donations and volunteer support have provided the necessary resources.
During the two months leading up to the launch, more than 4 million evangelistic pamphlets were distributed nationwide.
For the current outreach phase, organizers have prepared more than 1 million Bibles and Christian publications to distribute during home visits.
According to Pastor Pérez Pardo:
“God’s provision has been incredible. Every time we needed something, He moved someone’s heart to provide it.”
A Message of Hope
The campaign’s logo features a map of Mexico in the colors of the national flag beneath a white cloud, symbolizing blessings being poured out over the country.
Pastor Pérez Pardo emphasized that the purpose of the campaign is not to judge people but to encourage them.
“We have not come to point fingers. We have come to bless. We have not come to condemn. We have come to restore.”
Before the caravan departed, he added:
“We are like the little donkey that carried Jesus into Jerusalem. I am only the instrument; all the glory belongs to God.”
He again declared:
“Mexico is no longer a land of blood, but a land of blessing in a time of mercy.”
The Journey Ahead
As dawn broke, the 120 vehicles, including pickup trucks, cars, and the three buses, dispersed along different routes throughout the country.
The lone motorcyclist leading the caravan became a symbol of the urgency with which organizers hope their message will reach every corner of Mexico.
Teams will coordinate with local pastors in every state who have already been trained to continue the outreach after the initial campaign concludes.
Although the official mobilization runs through August 16, organizers say the broader vision will remain active for the rest of the year.
Their stated goal is that every person in Mexico, regardless of religious background or personal circumstances, will have the opportunity to hear what they describe as a message of love, hope, and transformation.
As the caravan departed from Tuxtla Gutiérrez’s Central Park, participants concluded with a final prayer:
“May the Holy Spirit guide every step, may every home be touched, and may every life be transformed.”
From Chiapas, where the initiative began, organizers hope the movement will spread across the entire nation as “Mexico, Land of Blessing” continues its mission.
