The second Craft Beer Festival, known as Novem Beer Fest, began in the city of San Cristóbal de Las Casas

The city of San Cristóbal de las Casas is the venue for the 2nd Craft Beer Festival known as Novem Beer Fest, the first one was held last November 2023.

Therefore, in this event, more than 20 national producers participated and it took place in the facilities of Cedeco, in the south zone of the colonial city, it was inaugurated this Saturday afternoon within the facilities of Cedeco, the citizens attended and enjoyed the artisan products.

In addition to the product exhibition, the festival has a musical program that included the participation of local and regional groups, the organizers explained that the event offers talks with the producers and a wide selection of beers.

In this regard, Isaac Sarabia Castro, one of the exhibitors in an interview said, as a craft beer producer he started in 2019 and that so far, they have made three types of flavored beers, totally artisanal and that the people of San Cristóbal have consumed them.

“This beer is called Jovelazo, I have another one called Canario and the third one is called La Playa, these drinks are made from seasonal fruits, pineapple, bananas, wheat, coconut, among other fruits, one of them has been aged for a year and all of them have 6 degrees of alcohol, I have been working since 2019 and you can find us in the neighborhood of El Cerrillo de San Cristóbal, consume local so that it stays at home”, he said.

Finally, the participating producers highlighted that the festival has the support of the Creative City direction and that this event aims to foster interaction between brewers from different states and local breweries.

They also stressed that the attendees of the festival can taste various varieties of craft beer that range from sweet to bitter, offering a unique experience of flavors and colors.
